Al-Khubaji calls for preparing for political changes in the south

Nasser Al-Khubaji, Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit of the Southern Transitional Council, and Nadir Abdul Karim Al-Tahwash, Director-General of the Executive Unit for Taxes, on Wednesday, discussed the collection of resources and taxes owed by major traders.
I n a meeting gathered them, they discussed the role of the General Administration of Taxes in collecting resources during the period of self-administration and the difficulties encountered in the course of its work during that period.
Al-Khubaji called for the development of emergency and exceptional plans and programs for the process of mobilizing and collecting resources from the category of senior taxpayers in the various governorates of the south in anticipation of any future political changes, as a result of what he described as the paralysis of the government from its main tasks in running the affairs of the state.
He demanded preparations for a new and comprehensive phase to administer the southern governorates politically, economically, financially and militarily in response to the demand of the people of the south to restore their state, stressing to benefit from the experience of the Self-Administration.
Al-Khubaji pointed out the need for the government to stop creating structures whose role is to withdraw financial and administrative tasks and powers from official offices in the southern governorates and the capital, Aden.
