Al-Mahra Emergency decides to prepare shelter centers as hurricane Tej approaches

The Emergency Committee in Al-Mahra Governorate reviewed the developments of Hurricane “Tej” expected to approach the governorate in the coming hours and the nature of the preparations and measures planned.
The Committee discussed identifying shelter centers, providing them with services, cleaning flood drains, alerting residents living in low-lying areas to evacuate, and efforts to provide all support and overcome difficulties to preserve the lives and safety of citizens and limit the potential effects of the hurricane.
It decided to prepare shelter centers and prepare hospitals, health centers and mobile medical teams during hurricanes and rainfall, and to direct security and military agencies to raise their state of readiness and prepare heavy equipment to participate in rescue operations in anticipation of any emergency.
The Emergency Committee called on citizens to be cautious and take weather and meteorological bulletins seriously, not to risk crossing valleys or the sea during days of weather disturbances, and to observe the necessary precautions.
