Al-Muharrami discusses ways to alleviate the suffering of citizens in Lahj

Abdul Rahman Al-Muharrami, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council and member of the Presidential Leadership Council, chaired a meeting with local authorities in Lahj.
The meeting discussed the living, service and development conditions in the governorate, and solutions to alleviate the suffering of citizens.
Al-Muharrami, listened from the Governor of Lahj, Major General Ahmed Abdullah Turki to a brief on the measures to strengthen the security situation in the governorate, especially in the areas close to the contact lines with the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia.
The meeting discussed the local authority’s proposals to deal with the challenges, including the crisis of the influx of displaced persons and refugees and smuggling, in addition to the governorate’s needs for basic services, especially electricity, water, health and education, and the priorities of projects in the service and development sectors.
Al-Muharrami called for concerted efforts at the central and local levels to lift the governorate out of its situation, improve service and security conditions, and exploit the capabilities in Lahj Governorate to benefit the governorate and the citizens.
The meeting stressed the rejection of depriving Lahj Governorate of development for decades, as it lives in a difficult humanitarian situation compounded by the brutal Houthi war, which borders the governorate on 4 sides.
During the meeting, representatives of the local authority appreciated the keenness of the Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council in his continuous follow-up of the governorate’s situation, and his permanent contribution to resolving the obstacles and problems facing the conduct of its security and service work.
