Al-Muharrami meets the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce in Aden the capital

Abdul Rahman Al-Muharrami, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, member of the Presidential Leadership Council, on Wednesday, met the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss ways to revive the economic situation in the capital, Aden, and other governorates.
In his speech, Al-Muharrami stressed the pivotal role of the private sector in supporting the efforts of local authorities to advance development, and reviewed the obstacles facing their investment projects.
The President of Aden Chamber of Commerce, Abu Bakr Baobaid, pointed to the collapse of the local currency, the high cost of insurance on commercial ships and customs freight, and some arbitrary and illegal practices, which negatively reflect on the value of goods and merchandise.
The meeting discussed aspects of coordination and integration between the government and private sectors to revive the economic situation, and the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council to provide an economic climate attractive for investment.
Al-Muharrami expressed the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to work to provide all facilities to businessmen and provide a safe environment for investment, praising the efforts of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the private sector, and their standing with government agencies to address crises.
He expressed his confidence in continuing cooperation and building the partnership on solid economic foundations to ensure a successful investment environment.
In the meeting, Al-Muharrami pointed to the approaching opening of the industrial zone in the capital, Aden, and its advantages for investors by providing land and necessary services, and facilitating procedures, in addition to its societal and economic importance represented in increasing job opportunities, reducing unemployment, attracting capital, and resettling industrial activity.
