Al-Muharrami renews his full support for the judicial authorities

Abdul Rahman Abu Zaraa Al-Muharrami, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council and member of the Presidential Leadership Council, renewed the Council’s support for the full independence of the judiciary, and its endeavor to enhance its impartiality and provide the necessary conditions for its members to enable them to perform their duties efficiently and competently.

This came during his meeting on Thursday, in the capital, Aden, with the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Mohsen Yahya Talib, and the President of the Supreme Court, Judge Ali Al-Awash.

During the meeting, Al-Muharrami was briefed on the conditions of the courts and prosecution offices and the progress of work therein, and the efforts made by the Supreme Judicial Council to improve the conditions of judges, and the most prominent difficulties facing the functioning of the Council and the judicial authority in general.

Al-Muharrami also listened to a number of proposals to improve the performance of the work of prosecutors and courts, and to provide for the needs of judges and workers in judicial institutions in general, enabling them to perform their tasks in consolidating the authority of law and order, and fighting corruption.

Al-Muharrami stressed the importance of integrated cooperation and coordination between the judicial and executive authorities to implement the law and achieve justice, pointing out that the continuity of the work of judicial institutions is an important factor in maintaining societal stability.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Al-Muharrami promised to submit the requirements of the Supreme Judicial Council to the Leadership Council to work on meeting them as quickly as possible in coordination with the government, to ensure the continued work of the courts and prosecution offices, and to enhance their role in protecting the rights of citizens.

For their part, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the President of the Supreme Court expressed their thanks and appreciation for all the efforts made by Abu Zaraa Al-Muharrami, to support the judicial authorities in performing their duties, enhancing their independence, overcoming the difficulties they encounter, and defending the rights of members of the judicial authorities.
