Al-Mukalla hosts a workshop on “The Future of Hadhramout in Shadow of desired Southern Federal State”.

Hadhramout Alliance and Hadhramout Inclusive Bloc for Hadhramout and the South, , on Saturday, held a workshop entitled “The future of Hadhramout in the shadow of the desired Southern Federal state”, with the participation of 70 participants from Hadhramout, representing all components, parties, political currents, thinkers, academics, specialists and youth in Mukalla city.

Lieutenant Colonel Salem Mubarak Bin Smaida, head of Hadhramout Alliance and Hadhramout Inclusive Bloc for Hadhramout and the South, inaugurated the workshop, saying: “Today we are exploring the visions of the people of Hadhramout first, in the upcoming Southern Federal state, in line with its economic, historical and geographical capabilities, and what it means is its cultural heritage rooted in the depths of history.” .

Bin Smaida added: “Your interventions and discussions while you are the elite and selective of society in Hadhramout, as you complete the representation of all the colors of the Hadrami spectrum socially, scientifically, politically and popularly, and it is enough for the vision to be comprehensive and deep, the one through which Hadhramout can be as the main course the main course in the upcoming Southern Federal state, as there is no South without Hadhramout!!”

For his part, Dr. Omar Saeed Mufleh presented the political vision of Hadhramout in the shadow of the desired southern federal state, demonstrating in details in his paper, why Hadhramout is an independent region within the framework of the desired southern federal state, which preserves the rights and identity of each governorate or region and its cultural, social and civil privacy that cannot be erased or in any form of erosion, detraction and cancellation, and that Hadhramout’s representation in any upcoming entitlement is the same as the other regions in which it is represented according to its economic, geographical and demographic weight and its deep-rooted cultural heritage.

Dr. Mufleh commended the importance of the founding documents of Hadhramout conference, its good formulation, the tasks for which it came and its correct confirmation on the political side of the representation of Hadhramout in the authorities (judicial, legislative, and executive), detailing each of them separately. He also touched on the aspect of the sovereign rights of Hadhramout region, rights and freedoms, and other important aspects.

As for the economic vision, it was prepared by Dr. Tariq Abdel Monsef Bazara, during which he touched on the economic advantages under the federal state, indicating that this vision represents the nucleus of an intellectual guide guiding economic activity and a practical program that determines the directions of that activity towards achieving goals in various sectors for construction and development.

Dr. Bazara’a also touched on the economic principles and foundations under the southern federal state, including the economic relations between Hadhramout government as a region and the federal government, as they are complementary and identical, concluding his speech by submitting recommendations to those in charge of the workshop represented by the leadership of Hadhramout Alliance and Hadhramout Inclusive Bloc for Hadhramout and the South by organizing workshops related to clarifying the “economic sectors, federalism, and good governance.”

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Salem Bin Jamaan presented the social vision, during which he talked about the relationship of the state with the family, and the importance of the family in society, which he considered an imperative for the survival of the human race and the permanence of social existence, indicating the strategic objectives of the state’s role towards the family, as well as the main reasons for the deterioration of education, and the difficulties and challenges that facing the education sector in general, and the strategic vision for the development of education.

Dr. Bin Jamaan explained that social care is a variety of programs and services provided through official and non-official charitable bodies, including voluntary efforts, indicating the importance of social care, its strategies, principles and foundations, concluding his vision by talking about human development, its factors, goals and obstacles.

Dr. Zain Mohammed Al-Aidarous concluded the workshop by presenting the cultural vision, which started by defining the concept of culture from the point of view of the researchers, who defined it as referring to the concept of sophistication in the spiritual and literary aspects, such as religion, morals, philosophy, language and arts, identifying the characteristics of Hadramis, their doctrine, and other important matters about immigration of Hadramis.

Dr. Zain Aidarous referred to the Hadrami Middle School, as it is the common denominator of all the provinces of the South.

A video clip containing the message of the owners of the diaspora, presented by Dr. Mohammed Mubarak Bin Dahri, from the diaspora, East Africa and Britain, was also shown.

The workshop witnessed enrichment and discussion of each paper presented by the attendees, and recommendations and outputs were raised at the conclusion of the workshop, which will be published later.
