Al-Naqeeb and Al-Shuaibi Participate in Inaugurating the Annual Folklore Festivities of Popular cultural Heritage of Yafe’a

Sheikh Abdul-Rab al-Naqeeb, member of Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), and lawyer Ramzi al-Shuaibi, head of the local leadership executive body of the STC in Lahej governorate, participated, on Sunday, in the inauguration of the annual folklore festivities of the popular and cultural heritage in Al-Hajar area in Labous District.
At the beginning of the inauguration, Sheikh Al-Naqeeb lauded the level of arrangement, preparation and active participation to revive this heritage, calling on all people of Yafe’a to cohesiveness and preserving the social fabric, similarly, thanked all exerted efforts aiming at putting aside all differences, and maintaining security and stability in districts of Yafe’a.
For his part, Al-Shuaibi expressed his satisfaction with the good reception from the people of Yafe’a, pointing out that warm welcoming is not strange from the historic Yafe’a and its people of high-brows; in keeping up traditional ceremonies and adhering to the historical and cultural heritage of the South in general and Yafe’a in particular.
Al-Shuaibi explained that the eternal heritage of Yafe’a and its people in reviving such feast days reflects the bright image of Yafe’y heritage and culture, as well as its customs and traditions, in the same context, affirmed keenness and interest of the STC in encouraging whatever contributes to reviving the immortal southern heritage in Yafe’a and the whole South, too.
During the folklore festival, a speech of the preparatory committee was delivered by Mr. Ali Al-Matari, head of the local leadership executive body of the STC in Labous district, and another speech of families of the martyrs was given by brother of the martyr; Munir Mahmoud Abu Al-Yamamah.
It is worth to mention that the traditional ceremony, which will be held for three days, will be including many folk dances and folklore that express the civilizational, cultural and human heritage of the people of Yafe’a.
