Al-Saqqaf Discusses Joint Cooperation with Head of Health Insurance Authority to Improve Health Services in the Capital, Aden

Moamen Al-Saqqaf, a member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council and head of the Transitional Council’s Executive Authority in the capital, Aden, met on Tuesday, with Dr. Awsan Mohammed Nasser, head of the General Authority for Social Health Insurance in the capital.

The meeting discussed several issues related to the health sector in the capital, Aden, and ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides, particularly with regard to developing health insurance services and improving the level of healthcare for citizens. They also discussed mechanisms for leveraging the support of international organizations in this field.

During the meeting, Al-Saqqaf emphasized the importance of developing the health insurance system to contribute to raising the efficiency of medical services provided to citizens, noting the Transitional Council’s readiness to provide all possible forms of support to ensure the success of the General Authority for Health Insurance’s plans.

The Presidency member praised the efforts made by the General Authority for Health Insurance to improve the state of health services, appreciating the recent steps taken in this regard.

For his part, Dr. Awsan expressed his appreciation for the role played by the Transitional Council leadership in supporting the health sector, stressing the Authority’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with various entities to ensure that insurance and health services reach a wider segment of citizens in the capital, Aden.
