The head of the executive body of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in the capital, Aden, Moamen Al-Saqqaf, met on Wednesday, with author and writer Mazen Refaat.
The meeting discussed the presentation of a short film making project, and some important cultural issues related to the capital, Aden.
Al-Saqqaf stressed the importance of cultural and artistic projects in enhancing the city’s cultural identity, noting the Transitional Council’s readiness to support such initiatives that contribute to spreading culture and arts.
For his part, writer Refaat presented the details of his new project and its objectives, emphasizing the role of short films in highlighting important societal and cultural issues, and highlighting ways of joint cooperation to enhance cultural activity in Aden.
In turn, Yasser Abdel Baqi, Deputy Director of the Department of Media and Culture, explained the importance of this project and the necessity of joint work to achieve its goals, noting that such initiatives enhance communication between society and cultural institutions.
