Al-Sharafi meets CMI Peace Organization to discuss aspects of cooperation and coordination

The Deputy Head of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, on Thursday, in Aden the capital, held a meeting via video call, with Ms. Julia Picart, Director of the Peace Project for the Middle East and North Africa at the Marti Ahtisaari Peace Organization CMI, and Mr. Marwan Al-Ali, the organization’s advisor.

During the meeting, Al-Sharafi discussed aspects of cooperation and coordination between the organization and the Southern Transitional Council and its auxiliary bodies.

While praising the role played by the international organization, Al-Sharafi welcomed any activity that contributes to strengthening the status and role of southern women, which they have lost since 1994.

For her part, Ms. Picart confirmed the organization’s aspiration to hold activities and workshops in the fields of supporting dialogue efforts, enhancing the role of women in political and national action, and reaching decision-making positions.
