Al-Sharafi Pays Visit to NDI Office and Reiterates the STC’s Welcome to Activities of International Organizations

Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, the deputy director of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs (GDFA) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), paid a visit on Wednesday to the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in the capital, Aden, to be briefed on the activities and programs that have been implemented by the institute.
Mr. Al-Sharafi discussed with Ms. Kenza Aqertit, resident director of the NDI, ways of enhancing joint cooperation in supporting dialogue, conflict resolution, democracy, and building the capabilities of youth and women to effectively participate in the phase of the upcoming entitlements.
Al-Sharafi praised the opening of the NDI office in the capital, Aden, reiterating the Council’s welcome of the activities and work of the Institute and all international organizations operating in the governorates of the South and its keenness to ease its work and provide the appropriate work environment to enable it to perform its role to the fullest.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Najib Qayed, Head of the International Organizations Department at GDFA, and the First Director of the NDI’s program in the Middle East and North Africa, Mr. Ali Al-Omari.
