Al-Sharjabi and Lamlas with the Dutch Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs check on Water Sector projects in Aden the capital

The Minister of Water and Environment, Eng. Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, and the Governor of Aden, Ahmed Lamlas, along with the Deputy Minister of International Cooperation at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Groten Hess, and the Dutch Ambassador, Janet Sieben, reviewed the situation of the water sector, particularly in Aden Governorate.

During their visit to the Al-Barzakh area in Khormaksar District, they learned from the Director General of the Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation in Aden, Eng. Mohammed Bakhbeera, about the current situation of the water sector in Aden Governorate, the project needs and challenges facing the corporation, and the progress of work in the water sector in general.

They also visited the project to build a water tank for the “First Zone” in the Barzakh region, at a cost of 2 million, 749 thousand, and 865 euros, funded by the German Development Bank and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and implemented by the Social Fund for Development through Dom International.
