Al-Soqatri discusses with Director of Cleaning Fund ways to launch cleaning campaign in Aden
Major General Salem Abdullah Al-Soqatri, Assistant Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, discussed on Sunday , in a meeting with the Director of the Cleaning Fund in Aden, Eng. Qaid Rashid Anam, ways to coordinate efforts to help the cleaners restore the civilized and bright face of the capital Aden and work to launch a voluntary campaign to clean streets, roads and neighborhoods from waste and dust left by the recent rains.
In the meeting that was attended by lawyer Niran Sooki, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, and Mr. Issam Abdo, Deputy Head of Local Leadership of the Transitional Council in the capital Aden, and heads of local leadership in the districts, reviewed the efforts made by the Cleaning Fund to remove a lot of waste gathered recently due to the rains in Aden the capital.
During the meeting, Rashid said that the recent rain waste exceeded their capabilities, stressing that the mechanisms are still not sufficient to face the recent challenges, indicating that the fund received support with some equipment, machinery and pumps from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is a generous gesture that would raise the capabilities of the fund and contribute to developing its capabilities.
Al-Soqatri warned that the damage caused by the rain is very large, and this situation requires coordination and concerted efforts, both between the hygiene fund and the relief committees and humanitarian work in the districts, as well as the relevant institutions, civil organizations and volunteers, especially with the challenges created by the repercussions of the spread of the Corona virus worldwide.
The meeting agreed to launch an invitation to a wide voluntary popular cleaning campaign for all districts of the capital Aden, and to invite everyone to participate actively from the traffic police as well as Backup and support forces, and they also invited the media to interact with the campaign, especially in these exceptional circumstances that the world is witnessing with the spread of the Corona epidemic.
