Al-Thaqali launches an initiative to distribute 1,141 food baskets in Socotra

Eng. Raafat Al-Thaqali, Governor of Socotra Archipelago, and Major General Sultan Al-Baqmi, Commander of the Arab Coalition’s Support Forces, on Sunday, inaugurated the delivery of relief and shelter materials to the people of the islands of Abdul Kuri and Samha.
Al-Thaqali praised the relief efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Relief Center, and its support for the people of Socotra through humanitarian and development interventions, stressing the archipelago’s need for humanitarian interventions in order to reduce the suffering of the most needy families.
1,411 food baskets are distributed in the archipelago to beneficiary families, on a regular basis, once every two months, for a full year, to ensure that eligible groups have access to food.
