Al-Thaqly praises role of the southern forces in protecting Socotra

Eng. Raafat Al-Thaqali, Governor of Socotra Archipelago governorate, on Tuesday, witnessed the launch of the first phase of the 2023 training year for the 1st Marine Brigade, in the presence of Brigadier General Abdullah Ahmed Al-Soqtari, Commander of the Brigade.
In the presence of the commander of the Security Belt Brigade in Socotra, Brigadier General Ali Omar Kafaen, and a number of security and military leaders, Al-Thaqali delivered a speech in which he expressed the keenness of the local authority to strengthen the capabilities of the units of the First Marine Brigade, stressing that it is considered the striking force to ensure the security and stability of the governorate.
The Governor of Socotra Archipelago governorate appreciated the role of the Southern Armed Forces in protecting Socotra Archipelago, praising the cohesion of the brigade’s units and the discipline of the its members.
