Al-Wali meets the new head of the Belgium MSF delegation in the capital Aden.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the local leadership of the council in the capital Aden, met on Tuesday with Mr. Matthew Radriguez, the new head of the Belgium Doctors Without Borders delegation in the capital Aden.

 

In the meeting, that was attended by Dr. Salem Al-Shabhi, Chairman of the Supreme Health Committee of the Self-Administration of the South, Al-Wali welcomed the Head of the Mission, wishing him continuous success in his practical tasks.

 

The meeting discussed means of cooperation and joint coordination between the Transitional Council and the MSF mission, especially with regard to health and humanitarian conditions and efforts to confront the emerging Corona virus.

 

Al-Wali praised the assistance provided by international organizations, including the Belgium Médecins Sans Frontières, in all areas, expressing the Transitional Council’s readiness to overcome all difficulties and obstacles that could stand in the way of the humanitarian and health work provided by the organization in the capital, Aden, and the rest of the southern governorates.

 

For his part, the head of the mission, Mr. Radriguez, thanked the leadership of the Council for the spirit of cooperation and attention it attached to the organization, praising the efforts of the leadership and members of the security and military services of the Council in protecting medical teams and providing safe conditions that enable them to perform their health and humanitarian services to citizens with ease.

The meeting was attended by Ahmed Nasser, adviser to the head of the mission.
