Al-Yafei and Salman discuss media coordination between Southern Media Authority and Ministry of Industry and Trade

Mr. Mukhtar Al-Yafei, Vice Chairman of the National Southern Media Authority, on Thursday, at the ministry’s office in the capital, Aden, held a meeting with Mr. Salem Salman Al-Wali, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdullah Al-Haw, member of the National Authority and Head of the Media Training and Qualification Sector, in which it covered areas of media cooperation between the Authority and the Ministry.

The meeting discussed media networking between the two sides in coordination with the Information Office in the capital, Aden, in the areas of media promotion of campaigns and exhibitions carried out by the Ministry in commercial and economic activity, as well as the Ministry’s efforts to control prices, combat commercial fraud, and destroy consumer materials that do not meet specifications, and call on the southern media to interact with these activities that concern the citizens in the South and touches on their essential needs.

Al-Yafei stressed that the National Authority is keen to pay attention to citizens’ issues and their necessary needs and seeks to direct the southern media discourse to address these urgent issues, noting that the Ministry of Industry and Trade is linked to these needs and plays an important role in this field.
Al-Yafei referred to the Authority’s efforts to organize media work in the capital, Aden, and hoped that the Ministry and its media office would interact with these trends regulating media activity in the capital, Aden.
For his part, Mr. Al-Wali praised these trends organized by the National Southern Media Authority, which regulates media work in the capital and the southern governorates, and directed the Ministry’s Media Office to continue coordination with the Authority.
