Al-Zubaidi Meets the French Ambassador to Yemen in Jeddah

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Jeddah – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]P[/su_dropcap]resident Aidarous Kassem Al-Zubaidi of the Southern Transitional Council and Supreme Commander of Southern Armed Forces, received Mr. Christian Tiesto, the French ambassador to Yemen, in his residence in Jeddah.
The meeting discussed several issues concerning political and security files in the south in addition to recent developments of Jeddah talks, hosted by Saudi Arabia.
President Al-Zubaidi asserted that the council is committed to peace and is willing to interact positively with international efforts in this respect according to term guaranteeing the southern people their right in identifying their political future. He also indicated that Jeddah talks reflect the Saudi concerns for maintaining security and protecting the region from chaos and terrorism.
Al-Zubaidi also asserted the established position of STC in supporting the Arab Coalition against Iranian expansive project through Al-Houthi militias. He also appreciated the French efforts under UN umbrella to support permanent and sustainable peace that guarantees the southern their right in self-determination, asserting that the French interests in the south of major interest for the council.
The French ambassador expressed his pleasure with this meeting and his appreciation of STC efforts towards peace and positive response to the calls of Jeddah talks. He asserted that current developments necessitate that the southern should be involved in peace process and their voice should be heard to reach a fair solution for their cause.
The negotiation delegation accompanying Al-Zubaidi, inclusing Dr. Nasser Al-Khabji, Mr. Ali Al-Kuthairi, Mr. Abd Al-Rahman Sheikh, Eng. Adnan Al-Kaf and Mr. Mohamed Al-Ghaithi, attended the meeting.
