Al-Zubaidi Receives UN Envoy for Humanitarian Affairs
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] President of the southern transitional council, Aidarous Kassem Al-Zubaidi, appreciated the efforts of UN organizations in Humanitarian, Aids and Development fields that participated effectively in decreasing the suffering of citizens in southern governorates and other territories. This came during his meeting with UN Special Delegate for Humanitarian Affairs in the council’s headquarters in Aden on Tuesday July 10th, 2018, as he met Lisa Grand, resident coordinator of humanitarian aids and resident representative of UN Developmental program in Yemen, Mathew Lesley, special assistant of Humanitarian coordinator and Andre Rikia, director of OCHA office in Aden.
President Al-Zubaidi discussed with UN delegate means of fostering joint cooperation between the council and Un in humanitarian field to serve al sectors of the society and decrease citizens’ suffering in all southern governorates and other territories through establishing the desired atmosphere for initiating developmental projects that help improving local communities and the whole country.
Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, secretary general of the southern transitional council, and Neeran Hasan Sawky, member of the council’s presidency, attended the meeting.
