An Emirati move to end electricity crisis in Aden the capital

The Director General of the Electricity Corporation in the capital, Aden, Salem Al-Walidi, confirmed that there is an urgent Emirati move to solve the crisis of the shortage of fuel needed to operate the electrical power generation stations in Aden the capital.
He revealed that he received assurances from President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, Deputy President of the Presidential Leadership Council, of the UAE’s intention to provide fuel and diesel to the Electricity Corporation in the capital, Aden, for the next three months.
He explained that the power stations in the capital, Aden, have been suffering for days due to the lack of fuel, which led to the exit out of services of many stations, pointing out that the Minister of State, Governor of Aden the capital, Ahmed Lamlas, provided quantities of fuel to ease the crisis.
Al-Walidi pointed out that Aden’s problem with electricity dates back to several years ago, with demand rising to more than 600 megawatts, while public and private stations produce only 300 megawatts.
