Anti-Drugs Public Campaign Launched in Ahwar Secondary School

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Ahwar – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] [su_dropcap]U[/su_dropcap]nder the slogan of “Youth Free of Drugs”, SAMA Organization for Development and Guidance launched its anti-drugs public campaign in Ahwar Secondary School. A lecture was delivered to school students about the risks of drugs.
Abdullah Al-Shazaf, school principal, welcomed SAMA Organization team and talked about the anti-drugs campaign indicating drugs risks and negative effects on the whole society. He also talked about causes of drug abuse and risks of bad company. He urged students to choose their friends well and to avoid all types of drugs.
Hamdi Said Al-Amoudi, chairman of SAMA Organization for Development and Guidance in Ahwar, talked about goals of the campaign and efforts of the organization id building a drug-free generation. In his lecture, he talked about types of drugs and effects of addiction on human health as drugs turn persons into hostile ones. He also indicated that drugs can be delivered directly as a declaration of friendship or indirectly in food and water. He also indicated that Islam banned drugs because it knocks the individual unconscious. In addition, he talked about the role of teachers and parents in preventing their children from drug abuse.
He also indicated that the campaign rises awareness through mosques and schools as some countries are targeting the south with drugs to demolish southern progress that they failed to demolish with weapons. He thanked the school administration for their cooperation with the campaign.
Adib Gamal Al-Ashali, head of religious and cultural affairs department of SAMA Organization for Development and Guidance, talked about the role of mosques Imams in fighting drugs through preaches and lectures. He also indicated that similar lectures will be held for youth all over the directorate.
The campaign targeted 220 students. Hamdi Said Al-Amoudi, chairman of SAMA Organization for Development and Guidance in Ahwar, Adib Gamal Al-Ashali, head of religious and cultural affairs department of SAMA Organization for Development and Guidance, Abdullah Al-Shazaf, school principal, Al-Hendi Saleh, representative of local authority, Salem Ahmed Tarhish, head of economic department of the southern transitional council in Ahwar and representatives of the Security Belt and SWAT Teams Troops attended the lecture.
