Arresting suspects accused of involvement in assassination attempt of Major General Ba’ash

Security Belt forces in Abyan Governorate arrested two illiterate men accused of their involvement in a terrorist attack targeting the convoy of Major General Fadl Ba’ash, Commander of the Special Forces, in Zinjibar in October 2023.

A security source in the Abyan Belt revealed that during the recent period, search teams in the Security Belt forces found the identity and location of a wanted security member within a terrorist cell and arrested him.

He confirmed that ongoing investigations revealed the identity of a second element called (Y.A.A.), who was charged by the terrorist organization with monitoring and following up on the movements of the Security Belt Command in Zanzibar.

He pointed out that security efforts were able to locate the terrorist element and arrest him after raiding his hiding place.
