The Security Belt forces in Socotra, on Thursday, announced the destruction of quantities of qat after confiscating it in a security campaign targeting shops that sell it in violation of the decision to ban it.
The campaign tracked the movements of Qat sellers in a number of shops in Hadibu District, and raided them, where quantities of Qat were seized, before confiscating them to be burned.
The Security Belt forces continue to pursue those who violate the decision to prevent the sale and circulation of qat in the archipelago, issued by Governor Eng. Raafat Al-Thaqali.
