Assembly’s Administrative Body Evaluates Performance of STC’s Ministers in the Government

The Administrative Body of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regular meeting on Wednesday, headed by Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly and Acting President of the STC.

Mr. Al-Kathiri began the meeting, which was attended by Prof. Dr. Abdul Nasser Al-Wali, Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, Head of the bloc of STC’s Ministers in the government, and Mr. Issam Abdo, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly, by emphasizing the crucial role played by the STC’s ministers in resolving many service issues in the capital, Aden, and other governorates of the South and expressing the Assembly’s support for any efforts that serve the interests of the people of the South and meet their needs.

The body listened to a briefing by the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance on the government’s performance and the reforms it is adopting to address pending issues, the stance of the STC’s ministers in the government regarding the deterioration that has occurred, and urgent and feasible solutions to improve the economic and service conditions.

Likewise, the heads of the committees of the Assembly presented a set of visions and proposals to enhance the performance of the government as a whole, in a way that would lead to an improvement in the living conditions of citizens. Moreover, they stressed the need for the speedy implementation of the matrix of urgent measures to halt service and economic deterioration approved by the Cabinet in its special meeting chaired by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and President of the STC.

The administrative body touched on the outcomes of the training course on “Fundamentals of Parliamentary Work,” which was attended by heads and deputies of the committees of the Assembly and was organized by the Training and Qualification Commission as a part of the STC’s ongoing efforts to develop the capabilities of its members and enhance their efficiency in line with the requirements of legislative and parliamentary work.

At the end of its meeting, the body stood before the latest developments related to the case of the abducted Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ashaal al-Jaadani, commending the tireless efforts made by the security services to uncover the circumstances and details of the crime, apprehend a number of suspects, and stressing the need to expedite legal procedures by the Public Prosecution and the judiciary to arrest the remaining fugitives and refer them to the competent court to receive their deterrent punishment.
