Assistant Secretary-General and members of the Presidency of STC inaugurate “March of Homeland ” photo exhibition

The Assistant Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, and a number the members of the Presidency of the Council, Lawyer Niran Sooki, Mr. Lotfi Shatara, Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, and Dr. Soheir Ali Ahmed, Dr. Mona Bashrahil, Brigadier Pilot Nasser Al-Saadi, and Dr. Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, Member of the Council Presidency, Head of the local leadership of the Council in the capital Aden, inaugurated the photo exhibition “November 30, March of Homeland”, organized by the Cultural Department of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council, in participation with the historian Arif Abdullah Al-Hariri, on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the glorious National Independence Day.

In the exhibition supervised by Mr Amr Aqeel, Head of the Cultural Department in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council, and witnessed the presence of a number of heads of departments of the General Secretariat and committees of the National Assembly, the Assistant Secretary-General and members of the Presidency of the Council toured its various departments and viewed its contents that reflected the political and cultural identity of the South since Days of British colonialism for the period before and after independence until 1990.

Historian Arif Abdullah gave the attendees a full explanation of the contents of the exhibition, which consisted of several sections that included photos and documents dating back to the past century, including the photo section that contained historical pictures of the south and the capital Aden, and the documents section, in which copies of historical documents of the period before and after independence were displayed.

The exhibition also included a section for currencies that included paper and cash currencies, as well as two sections for stamps that were issued before and after independence, in addition to the allies section that included samples of stamps, currencies and contents related to the brotherly countries of the Arab Coalition.
