Ben Brik Meets Head of National Union for Associations of Disabled Persons

Major General Ahmed Saeed Ben Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), on Monday, met with Ms. Amani Muhsen Saeed Al-Yahari, head of the National Union for Associations of Disabled Persons in Hadhramout axis, secretary of Hadhramout governor for affairs of the disabled persons and International trainer of the ambitious ones.
In the meeting, Major General Ben Brik stressed the importance of involving and integrating persons with special needs “determination” in all aspects, and they have to be included in the political, economic, social and cultural aspects, as well as encouraging their progress to fulfill the best, as they can be considered distinct categories of the community and should be prioritized in all aspects of life.
Ben Brik, pointed out that there are countries giving utmost care and attention to this category of community for being needed to stand by their side to show the latent mental skills since the disability is not in body but in mind; therefore, they have to be enlightened to let them have no sense of isolation from the community.
It is worth mentioning that Ms. Amani Muhsen Saeed Al-Yahari was nominated by Major General Ben Brik to be included in woman empowerment to participate in making peace and descions; in the meeting which was held with a German delegation on past Sunday at the Presidential Palace in the capital Aden.
The meeting was attended by lawyer Niran Souqi, deputy chairperson of the National Assembly for Legal Affairs, and Mr. Abdul-Fattah Al-Abed, Advisor to the chairman of the Assembly.
