Ben Brik Meets with Head of People of Aden Council

Major General Ahmed Saeed Ben Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), met, on Monday, at headquarters of the Assembly, with head of the people of Aden Council (Legislative Council) Mr. Marwan Anglan.
In the meeting, which was attended by lawyer Niran Souqi, member of Presidency of the STC, Deputy chairman of the Assembly, Major General Ben Brik welcomed Mr. Marwan, who gave a brief overview of the Council and its establishment in 2016 with the aim of representing Aden both in local and regional meetings, where the Council formally participated in Riyadh agreement and consultations alongside the STC, noting that the Legislative Council is a legislative body in the Council of the people of Aden, and it has a historic relation with the South Arabian Federation, when the Colony of Aden, in the sixties of the last century, had joined the South Arabia, as the Legislative Council was a representative Legislative Council for the people of Aden Colony before 1967.
Major General Ben Brik lauded the exerted efforts by the board of the Council in representing Aden, thanking the participation in Riyadh consultations side-by-side with the STC as southerners for Aden, in particular, and the whole South, stressing that the STC pays much care to the youth and empowers them in leadership positions and different careers in accordance with competence and academic qualifications, as they are the mainstay of the future and through whom development and progress can decidedly be achieved.
Such visitations are frequently paid to coordinate and unify efforts to elevate the city of Aden from its miserable situation and fulfill the goals of people of the whole South in restoring the southern State.
Likewise, the meeting has broadly discussed many political issues and the impact on the capital Aden, in particular, and the South, in general.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohammed Ghazi, head of the Council of the people of Aden in Seera district, and Ms. Maisaloon Ghanem, Director of Coordinating Relations in the Council.
