Ben Brik Reviews Activity of STC’s Local Leadership in Hadramout and Socotra

Major General Ahmed Saeed Ben Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), on Wednesday, met with heads of the Local Leadership Executive Bodies of the STC in governorates of Hadramout and Socotra; Brigadier General Saeed Ahmed Al-Mohammadi and Mr. Ra’fat Ali Al-Thaqli.
The meeting discussed the political and military aspects, after Riyadh Agreement and Consultations, devolved-situation in all governorates of the South, and spoke on the economic situation and its negative impact on the lives of citizens in the South.
For his part, Mr. Al-Thaqli conveyed Major General Ben Brik the greetings of people of Socotra, explained him the overall situation in the Island, and the needed support to upgrade and enhance the process of development and investment in Socotra.
Brigadier General Al-Mohammadi briefed Major General Ben Brik on the noticeable deteriorative situation in all aspects, foremost of which are the service and economic situations, that have miserably exacerbated and aggravated the daily suffering and distress of citizens.
Major General Ben Brik lauded the active role of the two Executive Bodies of the STC in following-up issues of citizens, calling for exerting more efforts to improve the citizens’ living conditions, stressing that the STC’s leadership spares no effort to improve the living standard of the southerners, providing all different service by continuous cooperating and coordinating with the local leaderships of the STC in governorates of the South.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mukhtar Al-Henkasi, head of the Foundation of Socotra Archipelago.
