Ben Brik: We Support the Peoples Choices and Will be in the Front Line
[su_label type=”info”]SAMA News – Adan[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_label type=”info”]Amman – SMA – PIC[/su_label][/su_spacer] Massive protests broke through out several directorates of Adan against catastrophic electric blackouts and shortage of fuel supplies. Streets were blocked by burning tires and activists called for general strike in governmental offices, schools and universities to force the government to fulfill urgent needs of citizens including electricity and fuel in addition to decreasing the lunatic increases in currency and food prices. Activists also called for all citizens to back up the protests until from Tuesday until their demands are fulfilled.
In a tweet on tweeter, Sheikh Hany Ben Brik, vice president of the southern transitional council, said: “We support citizens’ choices and will be in the front line with them. We will never accept this policy of humiliating our people. We liberated our lands from corrupt people and will never allow them back again”.
