Brigadier General Al-Wali Meets a Number of Abyan Tribal Leaders and Affirms that Security Belt Forces are Governorate’s Safety Valve and Impregnable Shield

SMA NEWS – ZINJIBAR
The Commander-in-Chief of the Security Belt Forces, Brigadier General Mohsen bin Abdullah Al-Wali, affirmed that the Security Belt Forces in Abyan Governorate represent the governorate’s safety valve and impregnable shield, and are the force that has thwarted all conspiracies and plots targeting its security and stability.

This came during Brigadier General Al-Wali’s meeting today with a number of tribal leaders from Abyan Governorate at the Security Belt Forces’ General Command headquarters in Al-Shaab Camp in the capital, Aden. During the meeting, a number of issues and files of concern to the governorate were discussed, most notably ending the state of chaos, combating corruption, and stopping illegal checkpoints.

Brigadier General Al-Wali stated, “The Security Belt Forces in Abyan Governorate, under the leadership of Brigadier General Haidera Al-Sayed, have made immense sacrifices and written the most glorious chapters in confronting terrorist elements, offering up countless heroic martyrs in defense of their land and honor.” He emphasized that the Security Belt Forces will remain a formidable force in the fight against terrorism until it is completely eradicated.

Brigadier General Al-Wali praised the sacrifices of the Al-Sayed family, who offered their finest sons in the war against terrorism, foremost among them the martyred commander, Brigadier General Abdul Latif Al-Sayed, who was an exemplar of courage, loyalty, and dedication in serving Abyan Governorate in particular, and the South in general.

Brigadier General Al-Wali also praised Colonel Najib Ward, commander of the Zinjibar sector, for his tangible achievements during his command. These included preventing extortion and uncovering two Houthi cells in Zinjibar. Al-Wali noted that Ward was a close associate of the martyred commander Abdul Latif Al-Sayed and one of the founders of the Security Belt Forces in Abyan. He enjoys a reputation for integrity and discipline and has a long history of combating terrorism alongside the martyred Al-Sayed and other field commanders.

Brigadier General Al-Wali affirmed that the coming phase will witness a reorganization and restructuring of the Security Belt Forces in Abyan. He emphasized that leadership is a responsibility, not an honor, and that public service is a national duty, not a personal possession. He stressed that no member of the Security Belt Forces will be abandoned.

For their part, the tribal leaders of Abyan expressed their gratitude to Brigadier General Al-Wali for the warm welcome and hospitality, affirming their full support for the Southern security forces in their fight against terrorism and Houthi sleeper cells, as well as in their efforts to combat corruption and illegal levies that have damaged the province’s reputation.

The tribal leaders called upon President Aidarus Qasim Al-Zubaidi and his deputy, Brigadier General Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami, to intervene swiftly to end the state of chaos plaguing the province, to rectify the imbalances, and to implement comprehensive changes for all those involved in corruption or abuses that harm the public interest.
