Brotherhood militia attack sites of the southern forces in Abyan

SMA News – Abyan
Militia and armed groups affiliated with the Brotherhood in Yemen stationed in Shokra and Ahwar regions in Abyan governorate launched an attack on the southern forces’ positions in the governorate, in contradiction to the terms of the Riyadh agreement sponsored by Saudi Arabia, and the ceasefire initiative that emerged from it in Abyan.
The southern resistance and the security belt in the Khobar Al-Maraqishah area in Abyan governorate were able to confront the attack launched by the Brotherhood militia stationed in the vicinity of those areas.
The spokesman for Abyan axis, Captain Muhammad al-Naqib, said that: “The heroes of the Southern Resistance and the Security Belt in the Al- Maraqishah region were able to confront an attack by the Brotherhood militia”.
He added: “Immediately after Al-Qaeda terrorist organization announced its endorsement of the attack on the coalition forces in Balhaf, the position of the Brotherhood militia changed from adhering to the terms of the mediation committee agreement to rejection and launching an attack on the resistance sites and the security belt. This change reveals that the Al-Qaeda organization and the Brotherhood militias are run from a single room of operations. “
