Central Bank of Yemen: Al-Houthi Orders About Their Opposition’s Money Are Void
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Adan [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Central Bank of Yemen asserted that provisional seizure ordered by Al-Houthi on 1223 of their opposition figures is void, and called for all its branches not to initiate it as it was ordered under threat. The legal expert and lawyer, Tawfik Al-Humaidy, described Al-Houthi orders as “crimes with no legal support”. Mustafa Nasr, chairman of the center for studies and economic media, indicated that this decision is void as such orders are only issued by the Central Bank alone and not any of its branches. It is noteworthy that Al-Houthi militias ordered a provisional seizure against 1223 of their opposition figures to prevent them from dealing with their bank accounts, real estates and other properties. The order was issued by Sanaa branch of the Central Bank of Yemen, not the headquarters in Adan.
