Chairman of Consultation Commission: There’s no back down from aspirations of our southern people

SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
Mohammad al-Ghaithi, head of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, said that since the first day of political work, I entered as representative of the bearer of the cause of the people of the south, and the aspirations of our southern people, believing in it fully, and that we have a goal that we cannot back down from, which is to restore the state and identity of the south, that we will not retreat of.
al-Ghaithi stressed that we carried this goal under the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, relying on God and believing in the will of our southern people, and we went through many stages for that, in which our right has not and will not be forfeited, starting with the Riyadh Agreement and passing through the GCC consultations to the existing partnership in which we believe in our legitimate southern national goal. .
He added in a statement that we are working sincerely within the objectives of the brothers in the Arab coalition to secure the region and achieve peace in it, whether by peace or war, and after we decided to work on approving three documents within the framework of the commission’s tasks after considering what the members put forward in the general assembly.
He expressed his regret over the leaking of these drafts, and their portrayal in the media as documents of political agreements between the forces of legitimacy, stressing that this is unfounded. Rather, they are drafts that were removed from the committees, and presented in the General Assembly, and we received, in the presidency of the Authority, written observations and objections. And the additions of the members of the commission belonging to the various political forces.
He explained that: “It has not been considered until now by us, and we have not approved anything, or submitted it to the Presidential Leadership Council, and we will not submit anything before agreement or agreement on it.”
al-Ghaithi added, “We are a consultation body, and we are not a body to pass laws or political agreements. Rather, our task lies in understanding and diagnosing the political situation, and the aspirations, requirements and demands of the political forces, and consultation on that.”
