Chairman of Local Leadership of Hadhramaut Meets the Feminist Sector

[su_dropcap]D[/su_dropcap]r. Mohamed Jaffar Ben Al-Sheikh Abu Bakr, chairman of the local leadership of the southern transitional council in Hadhramaut, met the feminist sector including the whole spectrum who believe in freedom and independence. Mr. Hasan Ali Ba Samir, chairman of the public commission the national assembly, and Mrs. Nabiha Ba Farag, chairwoman of the women and children commission of the national assembly, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, issues of feminist sector and the establishment of the Southern Union of Women were discussed. Dr. Jaffar asserted the importance of supporting and empowering women as a basic pillar of the society. He described women as half of the society and asserted their rights in fostering their political role.
The meeting discussed some suggestions for activating the role of feminist sector inside the southern transitional council. Dr. Jaffar also appreciated the vital role of women since the beginning the southern revolution along all its stages.
