Chairman of Southern National Assembly Discusses Recent Developments in the South with Director of Office of UN Delegate to Yemen

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]G[/su_dropcap]eneral Ahmed Said Ben Brik, chairman of the southern national assembly, met Mr. Marwan Ali, director of office of UN delegate to Yemen, Mr. Martin Griffith. The meeting discussed new development in Aden and the south and efforts exerted by Mr. Griffith to resolve this crisis and achieve positive solution through initiatives and talks.
Ben Brik explored in details recent events of Aden, Shabwa and Abian, its causes and treatment of the southern transitional council to the situation through active efforts to restore daily life to normal and provide citizens with public services. He also asserted that the council is kin on maintaining public calm down, security and stability in Aden through chasing terrorist cells covered by the legitimacy and exhaust their plans to return Aden and the whole south to the hands of terrorist powers.
In turn, Mr. Marwan Ali asserted that UN backs all efforts to make successful talks and to reach fair solutions, especially for the southern cause. He asserted that all UN organizations are still working in Aden and all southern governorates to help normalizing daily life of citizens and providing them with essential services according to international standards. He also indicated that media tools should play their role professionally through broadcasting facts and authenticating news to support peace that will resolve Yemeni crisis.
Ahmed Lamlas, secretary general of the southern transitional council, Niran Sawki, member of the council’s presidency, Nasser Ali Ahmed, director of foreign affairs of the southern national assembly, Dr. Salem Al-Shubhi, chairman of health care committee in the southern national assembly and Dr. Ahmed Ba Ras, director of office of the southern national assembly’s chairman, attended the meeting.
