Chairman of the National Assembly meets President of Women’s Union in Coast Hadramout
Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Tuesday at the Assembly’s headquarter with Salma Awad Al Kathiri, President of the Women’s Union in Coast Hadramout.
In the meeting, Major General Ben Brik discussed the mechanisms for activating the work of members of the Union in Hadramout, and establishing a number of activities aimed at building the capabilities of members in various fields that help them delivering their message.
Ben Brik praised the leadership roles played by southern women in all southern governorates in general, and Hadrami women in particular, and once again congratulated them on the occasion of International Women’s Day, which is on March 8 of each year.
Maj. Gen. Ben Brik asserted that women are half of the society, and are men partners in redemption and sacrifice, as they stood steadfast in front of all the crises and challenges that ravaged the country.
For her part, the president of Coast Hadramout Women’s Union expressed her happiness at this friendly meeting and the unlimited attention that the Transitional Council attaches to the women’s sector.
