Chamber of Commerce – Aden to leaders of Saudi Arabia and UAE: Most of people are no longer able to afford their food needs

SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
The President of the Aden Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Abu Bakr Salem Baobaid, appealed to the rulers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to intervene to save people from starvation and rescue the local economy.

Baobaid stressed in his message that the situation has reached the point where most of the people are no longer able to secure their need for food and that many families are limited to one meal a day that barely satisfies their needs. At the same time, we feel a lot of concern about the consequences of the current situation, which will inevitably lead to many disasters, besides economic and social unrests are imminent and some of them are beginning to loom on the horizon, stressing that this is a dangerous development whose consequences cannot be predicted.

The message stated the following:

Your Majesties and Highnesses, Leaders of the Arab Coalition, His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and his faithful Crown Prince, His Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

O’ you, respected people
Peace and mercy be upon you May Allah bless you and grant you good health. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Aden presents you with its best regards and wishes you good health and prosperity

The Aden Chamber of Commerce and Industry would like to inform you of what your brothers in Yemen are suffering from, the continued deterioration of living and economic conditions resulting from the increase in inflation rates rising to large proportions in exchange for the continuous deterioration in currency prices. We in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry follow with great sadness and pain what the situation has become and what has happened

Citizens are suffering from poverty, hunger, and misery that have reached such an extent that most of the people are no longer able to secure their need for food, and many families are limited to one meal a day that can barely satisfy their needs. At the same time, we feel a lot of concern about the consequences of the current situation, which will inevitably lead to many disasters. Economic and social unrest, some of which are imminent and beginning to loom on the horizon, is a dangerous development whose consequences and repercussions cannot be predicted.

Accordingly, due to our belief in the strength of the fraternal ties between us as Yemenis and you in both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates leadership and peoples, and because we are aware of the extent of your great interest in the situation in Yemen and your usual keenness to provide all possible economic support and your keenness to alleviate the living suffering of your brothers, we decided to address you directly. We hope that you will intervene to support the Yemeni currency and stop its deterioration, as is your usual stance with your brothers, which will reflect positively and quickly on stopping the deterioration and alleviating the suffering of the people, improving their livelihoods from what they are going through, and controlling the economic and social challenges that may arise as a result of the continuous deterioration. As we write to you and ask for your help and quick and effective intervention, we are absolutely confident that you are worthy of this, and your principled positions and continuous giving to your Yemeni brothers attest to you. We are at the gates of the blessed month of Ramadan, praying to Allah Almighty to grant you health and well-being and to accept your fasting and prayers.

May Allah protect and take care of you.
Please accept my sincere greetings and appreciation

Abu Bakr Salem Baobaid
