The southern armed forces in Al-Dhalea thwarted an attack and an infiltration by Houthi militia supported by Iran at midnight on Sunday towards the southern forces’ positions in Habeel Yahya sector, northeast of the city of Al-Hasha, in which the southern forces dealt with the militia and forced its militants to flee and retreat to their previous locations after suffering great losses.

Fouad Jobbari, spokesman for Al-Dhalea Fronts Axis, said in statement: “After the cautious calm that prevailed in the fighting fronts in the past days, an exchange of artillery shelling with medium weapons began and intense confrontations broke out between the southern armed forces and the Houthi militia”.

Jobbari added:”At midnight on Sunday, the militias tried to launch an attack, which prompted a number of their deceived members to carry out infiltration operations towards Al-Hurra sites and the site of the martyr Karoodh in Habil Yahya sector, and they pushed some of their elements to carry out infiltration operations supported by heavy and medium weapons, and the battles started and continued for about half an hour and then broke down, in which the Houthi forces returned to their positions south of the town of Habeel Yahya, northeast of Al-Hasha district.

Jobbari said:”The southern armed forces continued to bomb the militia sites until the early morning hours of Monday, and the confrontations were discontinuous, in Battar sector, Al-Fakher sector, and Bab Ghalk lightly and intermittently.”
