SMA NEWS – MUKALLA
Rainy cumulonimbus clouds formed near the coasts of Al-Mahra and Hadramaut governorates, as Hurricane “Tej” moved northwest of its current location.
Clouds spread with heavy to very heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms over Socotra Archipelago and the eastern Gulf of Aden.
The wind speed reached between 90 and 100 knots, with gusts exceeding 110 knots in the vicinity of the storm, with sea turbulence and waves rising to between 7 and 10 meters near the hurricane.
The Meteorological Center called on ship captains and fishermen not to sail in areas affected by dangerous bad weather conditions, and citizens in the Socotra Archipelago not to be in floodways and valleys.
