Darkest in Aden: Al-Essa Prevent “Ryan” from Pumping its Diesel Cargo Allocated for Electricity
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News Aden – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] On Saturday September 29th, 2018, the tank ship “Ryan” pumped only half of its diesel cargo into tanks of Aden Refineries Co. This cargo is allocated for electric power stations in Aden. Sources in Aden Refineries indicated that direct orders of “Ahmed Saleh Al-Essa”, a businessman, indicated to pump only half of the cargo and postpone the rest till he gets his financial allocations from the government. Sources asserted that Al-Essa is demanding huge sums of money from the government in return of importing previous cargos of oil extracts according to contracts with the government as the government, according to Al-Essa, didn’t fulfill its commitments in these contracts. This led to increases of blackout in Aden to six hours for only two hours of power production. This means that every 24 hours Aden lives in the dark for 18 hours.
