Department of Studies and Researches concludes the third analytical forum in Aden the capital

The third analytical forum, organized by the Department of Studies and Researches in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, which was held under the title: “Government’s institutional performance and its impact on restoring infrastructure in the liberated south.” concluded on Tuesday, in the capital, Aden.

On the final day of the forum, whose work was chaired by Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, the departments of the General Secretariat submitted proposals for working papers related to the nature of the specialization of their activities and the relationship of their work tasks with the corresponding specializations in the government institutions, reviewing the status of these institutions and the extent to which the specialization of the work of the secretariat departments is related to those institutions in order to raise the level of their performance.

Al-Jaadi stressed the importance of developing a detailed reading of the state of government institutions in the South, and evaluating the quality of its cadres and the obstacles facing them in implementing their tasks.

For his part, Dr. Mohammad Jaafar bin Al-Sheikh Abu Bakr, Head of the Studies and Researches Department, said: “Through this third analytical forum, we seek to come up with outputs that work to strengthen the relationship between the departments of the General Secretariat and government institutions to address the problems of these institutions, and for the Secretariat departments to work to enhance the role and performance of institutions for the interest of the citizens of the South.

The discussions in the forum dealt with ways to enhance the relationship between the competent departments in the General Secretariat, research centers and decision-making support with their counterparts in government institutions, emphasizing the need for coordination, joint action and preparing joint plans to overcome all obstacles and challenges in a way that helps restoring and strengthening infrastructure in the South.

The closing day also witnessed the discussion of a number of papers, which included a set of proposals related to the specialization of the secretariat departments and their counterparts from government institutions, and the possible mechanisms to be followed for partnership among them.

The forum came out with a number of important outcomes and recommendations related to the content of the discussed papers.
