Deputy Secretary-General inaugurates headquarters of Fisheries Cooperative Union for fishermen of the South in Aden the capital

The Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, inaugurated today, Tuesday, the headquarters of the Fisheries Cooperative Union for Southern Fishermen in Buriqa District in the capital, Aden.

The inauguration was attended by Mr. Adel Jaafar, Head of the Transitional Council local leadership in Buriqa District, and Fahman Al-Atiri, Director General of the District of Buriqa, and a number of southern national figures, in which Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi delivered a speech stressing the need for cooperation between all concerned authorities to control the pricing of fish sales and to put the citizens conditions in consideration by sellers in the markets.

Al-Jaadi pointed out that President Al-Zubaidi’s directives stressed the need to stand by the Fisheries Union, due to its daily relationship with citizens, wishing success for the Union in its tasks and efforts to provide concrete work to serve the community.

In turn, Dr. Mohammad Fadl Al-Qutaibi, Head of the Public Department in the General Secretariat, congratulated the members of the Southern Fisheries Cooperative Union, on the inauguration of the headquarters that will help them managing the union properly.

Al-Qutaibi stressed that the fisheries sector needs a serious and honest endowment to restore the pioneering role of this sector and get it out from its situation in the past years, and to restore the bright face of this sector, which is an important economic tributary to the southern economy.

Omar Salem Qambit, head of the Southern Fisheries Cooperative Union, also spoke in which he thanked the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council for standing by their side in establishing the union, which will provide many services to the fish sector.

Qambet stressed that the Southern Fisheries Cooperative Union will stand up to all the challenges facing the fish sector in the governorates of the South and hinder the fishermen from continuing to practice their work, noting that the union’s presence will contribute to addressing many problems.

The leadership of the Southern Fisheries Cooperative Union expressed thanks to the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council for its cooperation in preparing and equipping this headquarters, which will help them carrying out their work as required.
