Directives to form a committee to draft a regulation for the weights of transport trucks

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak directed the formation of a committee of ministries and concerned authorities to prepare a draft regulation regarding the issue of weights for trucks transporting goods on the roads, taking into account the balance between the interests of the private sector while at the same time preserving roads and providing the necessary resources, and discussing it with the chambers of commerce and industry in preparation for submitting it to the committee to take the necessary action.
While chairing a meeting in the temporary capital, Aden, the Prime Minister stressed the need to take into account the interests of the private sector and provide an attractive environment for it, including the Minister of Public Works and Roads, Salem Al-Huraizi, the Governor of Aden, Ahmed Lamlas, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, Mueen Al-Mas, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Rashid Hazeb. To invest while at the same time preserving the rights of the state… once again ensuring the formation of a strategic partnership with the private sector and giving preferential benefits to encourage local industries.
He also stressed the importance of good and proper implementation of government decisions, and providing a suitable environment for investment and private sector activity, pointing out the necessity of implementing the regulations that will be adopted in all liberated governorates and not being limited to the capital, Aden only.
The meeting discussed a number of visions and ideas in light of complaints submitted by the private sector regarding the issue of scales, and the importance of the committee taking these complaints into account in preparing the project.
