Director General of the General Electricity Corporation Chairs Meeting to Investigate Sabotage at Al-Haswa Power Plant

Engineer Mujeeb Al-Shaabi, Director General of the General Electricity Corporation, chaired a meeting at the Al-Haswa Power Plant in Aden. The meeting was attended by Mr. Salem Al-Walidi, Director General of Aden Electricity, and members of the technical committee formed to investigate the sabotage that occurred at the plant.
Al-Shaabi emphasized the importance of holding accountable those responsible for any sabotage that may affect the General Electricity Corporation, emphasizing that there will be no tolerance or silence regarding any act of sabotage.
He called for following legal procedures and holding accountable anyone proven to be involved, whether in sabotage or in distorting the Corporation’s image on social media.
Mujeeb Al-Shaabi emphasized the need to work as a team, enhance professionalism in performance, and avoid narrow interests and internal conflicts. He emphasized the Corporation’s commitment to developing and improving its facilities. The Corporation’s Director General expressed his thanks and appreciation to the security agencies for their supportive role and their standing by the Corporation at all its facilities.
During the meeting, Mr. Salem Al-Walidi, Director General of Aden Electricity, emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to identify those responsible for the sabotage attacks on the Al-Haswa station, emphasizing the need to take legal action against anyone proven to be involved.
Al-Walidi expressed the Corporation’s commitment to protecting its interests, restoring stability, and ensuring that such incidents do not recur in the future.
For his part, the Director of the Al-Haswa station, Nawfal Mujammal, presented a detailed report in which he emphasized the importance of adhering to established procedures, including reviewing the station’s surveillance cameras.
At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees emphasized the need for joint action to reform the current situation of the General Electricity Corporation and preserve its capabilities and potential.
