Discussions between the Governor of Aden and the UNDP team about establishing water stations

The Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, on Thursday, received the Project Coordinator at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Najm al-Din Saif, to discuss ways to establish water desalination plants in the city.

Lamlas stressed the need to prepare the necessary studies for the project, taking into account the environmental impacts that may result from these stations, stressing the agreement to determine the locations and locations of the stations, and distribute them to the directorates to meet the needs of the local community.

The meeting discussed a number of projects that must be implemented in the future phase to address challenges in the water and sanitation sector, in light of the rising population density witnessed in the capital, Aden.

The meeting was attended by the director of the local water and sanitation corporation in the capital, Aden, Mohammed Bakhobaira, the international expert in water desalination, Colorado Chubariba, and the water resources specialist, Eng. Buran.
