Dismantling Landmines Implanted by Al-Houthi Militias in Al-Khoukha – West of Yemen

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Al-Hodeida – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Military engineering squads of the southern forces on Al-Khoukha front managed to dismantle three landmine fields implanted by Al-Houthi militias in several places of the recently liberated Al-Khoukha directorate, on Saturday. In Heis and Al-Khoukha, the Tehamy Resistance and southern forces dismantled hundreds of explosives and sea mines after liberating the territories of Al-Houthi control. In addition, the forces destroyed an explosives lab belonging to Al-Houthi militias. A military source indicated that military engineering squads dismantled thousands of randomly implanted land and sea mines. Al-Houthi militias deliberately implant mines on roads and near civilian houses and farms in the places where they are forced to leave as some local and international observers indicated that Al-Houthi militias implanted more than half a million mines, including internationally banned mines, that led thousands of civilians to sustain permanent handicaps. It is noteworthy that Iran provides Al-Houthi militias with these mines in addition to experts to produce it locally, according to international reports.
