Documents Revealing Exhausting Aden Resources for the Interest of Northern Governorates

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]D[/su_dropcap]ocuments of General Foundation of Electricity in Aden revealed that most of the foundations’ resources were exhausted in buying network materials, oils, spare parts and other things for stations in addition to sending monthly share of revenues to the Ministry of Electricity.
The document issued in September 15 indicated that Aden foundation paid the expenses of reconstructing and refurnishing the ministry main building in addition to the buildings of General Foundation of Electricity and control room of the Saudi Grant in addition to paying for Ukrainian company for the projects of countryside electricity and other projects in Aden.
Although Mareb refused to pay its share in oil and gas revenues to the Central Bank in Aden, documents indicated that Aden Electricity paid for lawyer of Engrik case in Mareb in addition to financing Safer project in Mareb. According to directives of minister of electricity and power, the company paid monthly budget for Al-Makha power station in Taiz that reached 144 million Yemeni Riyals from December 2018 to May 2019, according to prime minister directives.
Officials expressed their astonishment that Aden Electricity paid all these sums of money from its own revenues to Mareb and Taiz while these two governorates refused to send their revenues to the Central Bank of Yemen for years.
The same source indicated that Aden paid for the salaries and projects in many liberated governorates including Mareb and Taiz in addition to paying for salaries of academics, judges and refuges from Sanaa and Eb.
Ministry of Treasury refused to pay the salaries of Aden Electricity employees on the excuse that Aden didn’t send its revenues although Aden is funding several major projects in Aden and other territories according to the directives of the legitimacy officials.
