Dr. Al-Hajj receives an honorary shield from Reconciliation Commission for the efforts of Southern Dialogue Team

Dr. Saleh Al-Hajj, Head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Head of the Internal Southern National Dialogue Team, on Monday, in the capital, Aden, received a shield of honor from the Southern Reconciliation and Accord Authority in recognition of his efforts and the dialogue team in establishing a culture of dialogue, tolerance, and acceptance of the other.

During the tribute, which was attended by members of the Dialogue Team and the National Accord Commission, Dr. Al-Hajj expressed his thanks and gratitude to the National Accord and Reconciliation Commission, stressing that the aspirations and hopes of the people of the South require everyone to agree and line up for national action, and to come together on a common word, pointing out that differences, whatever their nature, can be overcome through Dialogue.

Dr. Al-Hajj described dialogue as a great national mission that is not seasonal or linked to a specific time, pointing to the continuation of the dialogue approach with all southern political and social spectrums, and the perpetuation of a culture of dialogue, acceptance of the other, and political and national partnership.

For his part, Saeed Al-Yahri, Chairman of the Southern National Accord and Reconciliation Commission, confirmed that the honor comes in gratitude and recognition of the role played by Dr. Al-Hajj and all members of the Southern National Dialogue Team, which culminated in the Southern Consultative Meeting and the signing of the Southern National Charter.

Al-Yahri called for embodying the culture of dialogue as an ideal means of resolving differences, protecting the national fabric, and unifying all efforts until the restoration of the southern federal state and achieving all national goals.
