Dr. Al-Khubaji meets with the Regional Director of the German “Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung”
Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, met on Wednesday, in his office in the capital, Aden, with Dr. Magdalena Kirchner, the resident representative of the German “Friedrich Ebert Foundation” in Jordan, and the non-resident representative of the Foundation’s office in Yemen.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Mahmoud Kayah, the acting non-resident representative of Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Dr. Al-Khubaji praised the efforts of the German Foundation and its interest in the political process, conflict resolution and peace building.
The meeting discussed the latest political and military developments in our country, the extension of the truce, and the results of the Riyadh consultations, besides the war, and entering into a comprehensive political process, stressing the importance of addressing all issues without fragmentation, through a comprehensive political process, the priority of which is to establish a special negotiating framework for the issue of the people of the south, to reach a comprehensive peace that ends the conflict.
With regard to terrorism file, Al-Khubaji affirmed that the Southern Armed Forces launched Operation Arrows of the East to combat terrorism and extremist organizations, achieving great victories in this aspect to establish security and stability in Abyan and Shabwa, stressing that the Southern Transitional Council will continue alongside the international community in combating this global scourge to maintain international peace and security. .
For her part, Dr. Kirchner expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the efforts made by the Southern Transitional Council in the political process and combating terrorism, expressing her understanding and concern for the political demands adopted by the Transitional Council.
