Dr. Al-Khubaji receives the Director of the Office of the UN Envoy in Aden the capital

The member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, received, on Thursday, in his office in the capital, Aden, Mr. Peter Rice, Director of the Office of the UN Envoy in the capital, Aden, and Mr. Tim Azzawi, Assistant Director of the Office of the UN Envoy for Political Affairs.
In the meeting, which was attended by Mohammed al-Ghaithi, head of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of the Transitional Council, al-Khubaji stressed the development of a negotiating framework for the issue of the people of the south within the negotiations for a comprehensive political solution, and the formation of a joint negotiating delegation.
He noted to the urgent need to address the difficult humanitarian and economic conditions in the south and Yemen, and the need to compel the Iran-backed Houthi militia to fulfill its obligations in the armistice agreement.
For his part, the Director of the Office of the UN Envoy in the capital, Aden, reviewed efforts to extend the armistice and launch the comprehensive peace process, expressing the keenness of the UN Envoy to Yemen in the negotiating process to reach a comprehensive political solution with the participation of all parties, led by the Southern Transitional Council.
